taking advantage of the fun summer

Summer is definitely just around the corner... Or isn't it here already? Obviously, this is already time to plan for a fun summer beach outing. Nearly all of us would like to have loads of fun with family and friends at the beach. Indeed, it is important that we find ourselves some time to make ourselves available for our loved ones. After all, we are also entitled to have a really good tan, right? Anyway, while most of us are planning for this family beach outing during summer time, companies and politicians are also getting busy cooking up their marketing strategies in order for them to get that brand recognition and popularity they needed. Earlier this year, I have seen lots of advertisements printed on tarpaulins and they can be seen in places that are widely visible to the public. This summer, politicians who want to be remembered during Election time (I am not really sure if this is allowed, though) and companies that want to spread product and consumer awareness can capitalize on this part of the year through promotional beach towels and other essentials which they can offer as giveaways to the local beach goers and vacationers.  Surely, this is a practical way for them to take advantage of the fun times during summer. As for me, I would be happy to receive beach essentials as freebies. How about you? :-)

how are you holding up?

After giving birth, I must confess that some things are happening with my body that I have very little to no control of. Among other things, it seemed like my bladder could not always do its part of holding up urine a little longer than it used to. I am talking about urinary incontinence. I thought incontinence can only be experienced by the elderly or those that are already past their retirement age but I was wrong. I didn't even think that a laughter can trigger a flow from my bladder. This actually bothered me for awhile but after a few reads on the Internet and after a word from a doctor (especially), I was somehow appeased. To be honest, my urinary incontinence experience came to a point that I had to rely on these diapers and nappies for adults for awhile but after following a few exercises ( Kegel exercises) that can help strengthen the muscles in my pelvic area, I was able to manage it well. that's my dad

I am not sure if I have mentioned in any of my posts that my father is a professional mechanical engineer and that he works at a sugar milling company. Career-wise, he actually had humble beginnings where he started from a mere rank and file employee who works hands-on with bearings,  vise accessories and other industrial supplies and equipment that I am not familiar with, until he got promoted to a supervisory position. Today, even when he is already past the age of retirement, he is still working, although now I heard he is already holding a consultancy position (sort of). I am proud of my dad's achievements especially that I am aware that he worked really hard to earn his title. He's not from a well-to-do family; so, he had to work his way to get to college. I remembered even when he already got promoted in supervisory level, he's still willing to do manual labor if he deemed it necessary.
