what's in store for the really serious musicians

Technology has already made it possible for composers, bands and musicians to conveniently explore or create great songs and great music in their own homes. Time was when recording and mixing of audio would necessitate access to a recording studio of a recording company. It can also be recalled back then that musical equipment for recording and mixing of sounds can take up a lot of space and were too expensive and impractical for the average musicians to have. Today, as technology got better and sleeker, musicians can already have their own recording studios in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. With a portable recording equipment, for example, one can already do a lot of things to create high quality music and sound in the bedroom, living room or any part of the house. It should be space-friendly, too. For those who are really serious about their music craft, this is not too huge an expense for them. Practically, this is an equipment for them to have as this may help furt...

what our daughter would need pretty soon

Ever since Dippy started school, we always see to it that we have the time to help her with her projects and assignments. So far, we're doing better. All the three of us are quite a team. One thing we did not anticipate, though, was the probability of having to work on a project which needed to be submitted in the morning. There wouldn't have been a problem with it if we were able to check her assignment notebook right after she came home from school. However, we only saw it in the later afternoon since we thought her assignments are only about writing. Thus, when the project required some printing, we were almost clueless on what to do since we don't have a printer. Just when we were about to go and inquire from a computer shop nearby about their overnight printing service, I suddenly remembered we have a neighbor/ex-officemate who owns a printer. Thankfully, this neighbor was still online and all it took was a quick chat with him before we sent him the project to be prin...

it came close to chronic hypertension

After learning that my side of the family has a history of hypertension, my husband began to worry for me. He reminded me to keep my weight down and to avoid eating anything that would eventually trigger high blood pressure. In fact, I remembered how nervous he got when I had hypertension after giving birth to Dippy. He and I really thought that was the start of my long battle with hypertension. Thankfully, it was just classified as postpartum hypertension and it went away a few months later. Luckily, I didn't have to buy my own blood pressure BP monitor at that time. Well, there was really a time when I had thought of using my earnings to buy the digital type. After all, I knew I should be checking my blood pressure because I was told that there's a big chance that a postpartum hypertension could advance into chronic hypertension. Incidentally, I found a few medical equipment suppliers that are selling the brand that I like. However, dad had let me use my late mom's digi...

rapidshare and torrents files search

For many of us who would like to search and download e-books and other file formats, videos, music, etc., for our own personal use, we are probably going to make use of either or both of these two popular sources: Rapidshare and Torrents. To make it easier and more convenient for us, some techie guys came up with a rapid4me.com search engine so that we can directly and easily make our search for rapidshare files without any hassle. Alternatively, if the files we are looking for are not found in rapidshare, fortunately, we can also do it via Torrents Search . It’s amazing how they came up with these convenient options!

go for profit and fun

Next to singing the videoke, blogging turned out to be my most interesting and enjoyable hobby because this is where I have gained new friends. In fact, right now, with the entrance of baby Pauline, it has totally replaced videoke singing as my favorite hobby. Baby Pauline would surely be awakened from her sleep if I would still be belting my way through Celine Dione’s or Whitney Houston’s songs. Oh, surely it would be a nightmare for her! Anyhow, after a year of blogging, I also noticed that I already have a PageRank 1 for my blog. I’m no expert about how websites are ranked by Google but I’m already happy that it has achieved a PR 1 rating. It’s been zero for the last several months. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone. I do not only enjoy blogging as a hobby, I sometimes earn from it. This is why I’ve come to love and embrace blogging more and more. Blogging is indeed both profitable and fun! So, I’m thinking, if I’m blogging for profit and fun, why not make t...
