Having trouble going to sleep? Something worrying you? Troubled and can't sleep? They say counting sheeps will help you doze off to sleep. However, most people would almost run out sheeps to count and realize they're still up and awake. So why don't we count our blessings, instead? I just remembered my ex-officemates' creativity when it comes to coming up with a concept for a Christmas decoration. :-) The company came up with a Christmas Decoration contest last 2007 as a way to motivate us more to beautify the room and give it a Christmas feel. It was a unique concept that we did for the room and we liked it but unfortunately, we didn't win. Turns out that our officemates from the other departments were more creative than us. :-) Anyway, Christmas reminds me of gift giving, Christmas parties, and Christmas bonus. If there is one thing that help other friends remember the day of my birthday - that would be because my birthday falls on Veterans Day. In short, you also need to remember what date Veterans Day is being celebrated annually. It's funny because some of my friends I met at work a few years back would rather celebrate Veterans Day than celebrate my birthday with them. I really don't blame them if they'd like to get rid of my birthday on the calendar because I usually celebrate my birthdays the frugal way. That means "no birthday spree" from me especially now that we have a baby. :-) Anyway, it is definitely an honor to have co-celebrated my birthday with the military veterans. The bravery/courage they have shown for their country is truly admirable and worthy of emulation. Now, I've learned that there's a very good way of honoring these military veterans.
