just another summer post

I'd like to further affirm my declaration that I am not yet done with summer  by putting up another post about it. Yes, I am so not over it yet. In fact, this cover song Summer Breeze from Jason Mraz just keeps playing over and over my head and I am still not tired of it. Not all episodes of last song syndrome irritates me. At least not this one. I think it is possible to have a very long but relaxing trip when you're listening to beautiful songs like this. Okay, probably anything from Jason Mraz (and John Mayer...). Okay.. here's the song I am talking about...

how do you fall in love?

Image
No, I'm not really asking. How Do You Fall In Love? by Alabama is my favorite song of the week. Since it's almost Valentine's Day, I'd like to feature this beautiful song here on my blog. What do you think of this song?  Well, just in case you'd like to sing along, you can find the lyrics to the song below: How Do You Fall In Love? How do you fall in love? When do you say I do? When is the perfect time To spend the rest of your life? Seasons may come and go And sometimes it rains and snows And there will be highs and lows So only you will know You never know just where it will find you 'Cause it can come on you so fast Seems like it takes forever When you want it so bad But don't ever take it for granted 'Cause it's more than sowing some seeds It takes sun and water So give it what it needs And that's how you fall in love That's when you say I do That's when you know it's time To spend the rest of your

when are we going back to the basics of life?

It's Monday. Happy day, everyone! I'd like to share a wonderful song I just discovered today. It's called " The Basics Of Life ".  I feel like the message of the song is very timely because of what is already happening in our world today - so much chaos, so much war, so much crime, and so many other things that most of us do that no longer conform to what God originally wants for us to do. Well, let me know if you liked the message of the song.

want a perfect Christmas?

A few days more to go and it's already Christmas. I'm in the middle of work but yours truly is feeling kind of nostalgic because of the many Christmas songs that are being played on the radio. I really can't help but sing along and make a quick post about this as well. Right now, as I am writing this post, they're playing " A Perfect Christmas " by Jose Mari Chan. I so love all his Christmas songs but this one is my favorite Christmas song of the week. I think it is safe to say that I will forever be a Jose Mari Chan fan. Period. I dedicate this song to our families and friends. You know who you are. I hope to see or hear from all of you this Christmas.

music monday - where are you now?

Happy Monday, everyone. We've been singing along with this song that's been playing on the radio for weeks now. So, I'd like to share this one as my entry for Music Monday. It's called Where Are You Now by Honor Society band. Ever heard of it? Even though not all the lyrics to the song fit me but somehow I can relate a little (or probably more) - especially when it comes to memories of high school and friends, best friends and some secret stuff. :-) Okay. This video already has one million plus views. So I wouldn't be surprised if you've already watched it. LOL. Just wanted to share. So, for those who have not yet seen it or heard the song, go ahead and indulge. :-) So, what do you remember when you listen to this song?

Music Monday: A House Is Not A Home

Image
Here's the late Luther Vandross ' version of A House Is Not A Home . I love this song - this was exactly the song I had in mind when I wrote about our house.. ER.. home sweet home . For me, whether it's from Dionne Warwick or Luther Vandross, this song is timeless! I must say though that I love how Luther Vandross sang it with so much emotion. In fact, someone described it as "flawless" even though this was sang live. Check out the music video and you'll know why. Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Rules are simple. my defining moment

nobody goes through this life without ever experiencing their "downs", not even the wealthiest of people. when i was still single, i would recall going back home with my folks everytime i feel like i needed some time off to lift my spirit ( don't get me wrong, i don't only go home when i'm troubled, i also go home to visit my family and in a happy state ). and i would always remember, it's always my mom who notices my unhappy mode and she would always try to get me to talk about it. and from there we would have a long conversation. that's what i missed about my mom. i missed our talks, her warm, caring and thoughtful ways. i guess God would understand why i still feel sad sometimes about losing her too early. i thought it was too early for her to be taken away from us. i thought she'd get to see how i've grown from a helpless lass to a mature lady and an expectant mom. i thought she'd have the chance to see my baby. but we lost her. we lost

Don Moen's REVIVAL Concert

Image
Last april 11th, we had the chance to listen to Don Moen's songs live at the U.S.P. Open Grounds in Lahug, Cebu City. It was really a good experience. I can't fully describe how I felt that night but I've been crying for almost the whole run of the concert. Tears of happiness would be a good guess. I felt so happy that I'm sharing this experience with my husband, that we both agreed to buy tickets to the show. Well, I really would have wanted to watch in the front row but I have compromised to buy the general admission tickets since this is more or less out of our budget. Anyways, front row or not, we still felt God's presence that night. I felt so happy and blessed that me and my husband are one in rejoicing and praising God.
