relief mission in a special town
I would have wanted to go with the troop when they went there on a Saturday but I have a work deadline to meet that day, so it seemed imperative to stay behind and just go with them in spirit. :-) Although I already knew they're not going to be at the barangay where my dad belongs, I am still very happy because I knew that, with DSWD's assistance, they picked the right barangay with constituents (around 400 recipients) who needed the most help. Anyhow, I was able to take part in the packing of the relief goods and it felt good to have been able to do so knowing that those packs are going to be in the hands of people from my dad's hometown.
