A Walk Through Life

Here's one song that can help us handle whatever negative and unpleasant things we are going through at the moment and see them in a different perspective. It's called  "Blessings" from the Laura Story album. I wish I can get hold of a copy of her album before the year ends. Are you one of those who think that you've been bombarded with problems after another? Health reasons? Financial difficulties? Family problems? Loss of a loved one? Whatever problems we have at hand, it's time that we think of them as blessings and offer them to God.

After learning about the success of John Mayer Live in Manila concert last October 1st despite the heavy rain, I thought it must have been a really really good concert. When I was still single, I had the chance to watch concerts of bands and even solo performers playing this type of music genre. It's nice to watch concerts once in a while especially when you don't have any guilt feelings about spending for your tickets to the show because you know you deserve it. John Mayer is really known for his great acoustic music and for talking a lot in his performances. :-) To give you an idea of what it would have been like to be in one of his concerts, you can check out this video I found from youtube. I have a new favorite song that I would like to share with all the music monday participants and to my few mashkan readers as well. Sometimes I do feel like the easiest job in the world that won't feel like a job at all would be being a DJ on the radio. Oh, that's if you like all kinds of music and you love to chit chat with your listeners. Agree or disagree? Hmmm, just a thought but I am actually not considering it because I don't have a lovely speaking voice, anyway. LOL. Anyway, going back to the song - this one is entitled "Opposites Attract", sang by one of my favorite OPM singers, Juris Fernandez. She was once the lead vocalist to the MYMP band. Happy Monday, everyone. We've been singing along with this song that's been playing on the radio for weeks now. So, I'd like to share this one as my entry for Music Monday. It's called Where Are You Now by Honor Society band. Ever heard of it? Even though not all the lyrics to the song fit me but somehow I can relate a little (or probably more) - especially when it comes to memories of high school and friends, best friends and some secret stuff. :-) Okay. Here's the late Luther Vandross ' version of A House Is Not A Home . I love this song - this was exactly the song I had in mind when I wrote about our house.. ER.. home sweet home . For me, whether it's from Dionne Warwick or Luther Vandross, this song is timeless! I must say though that I love how Luther Vandross sang it with so much emotion. I feel like singing this song today and for the rest of the week! This is a song by Alicia Keys. It's called " If I Ain't Got You ". This is like a personal song. Somehow, this song has a double meaning to me. It can be a song for my husband and it can also be dedicated to the Lord. How's that? I once listened to my Aunt Sarah doing a cover of this song and replaced the word "baby" with "Lord" and it then turned out to be a really beautiful song that she offered to the Lord. I've been looking for the perfect song for my Music Monday entry. I know a lot of great songs. In fact, everyday I've always experienced a "last song syndrome". However, I don't like what I've been hearing lately - they are always music from politicians' ads on television (didpdip is enjoying them, though). I don't feel too mushy to feature my favorite love songs as well. Thankfully, I bumped into this really beautiful song by Gary Valenciano. It's called Take Me Out Of The Dark. This has been a favorite song of mine ever since this song became a hit.
