work and career matters

After careful consideration, I have decided to go back to working in traditional office. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made considering that I have always wanted to stay and work at home so I can also be where my daughter is. Among the many plausible reasons I have, recent health concerns in the family added more weight to the decision that at least one of us should be back working in traditional office setting so that the whole family can have health insurance as part of the benefits. Anyway, I am not going to be working in the office the whole day and my Saturdays and Sundays are always free. Indeed, even as a freelancer, work-at-home employee or a casual worker, it’s really important to have an amount set aside for contingencies such as health setbacks and other emergencies. Sometimes, we tend to put these things off (if not forget) hoping that we would stay healthy all the time and especially since we’ve always known ourselves to be not the sickly type. However, w

One of the things I wouldn't forget about being employed from an American outsourcing company before was the fact that we've also celebrated American holidays with our American bosses. I would remember that when it's a US holiday, it's usually the time of rejoicing for us because it means we have no work. However, a more in-depth look at the holiday made me realize that we should not rejoice only because it's going to give us a respite from work; instead, we must also understand why we celebrate such a thing. The month of May, come the last Monday of the month, is US Memorial Day. Now, it's clear to me because I already got myself educated that this day is in honor of those who died in the service of the military such as, but not limited to, those who became officers and crew of the USS Bluegill . I believe that declaring a holiday in memory of those who died for the country's sake is indeed a great form of respect we can give to them. Remembering those who

Would You Like To Take That Sweet Chance of Success?

When we talk about going into business, we can't help but talk about the risks involved. No matter how small the business is, we don't want to fail. However, even with the thought that the business could fail, we would always want to give it a try and hope that instead of failure, we can experience success. Even if we start out small, there is a good chance that we will risk the amount of money we have put up for it. However, the self fulfillment and monetary rewards are great that we oftentimes cannot really help ourselves from trying. For all we know, the risk of failure can be minimized if we contemplate about getting it small business insurance . Yes, at some point in our lives, we would dream about becoming our own employer, or our own boss. Just as going into business involves a lot of risks, being employed also means employing that risk within one's self. There is always that challenge of keeping our jobs and staying "employed". So the choice is actua

"Oh, honey when I die Dress me up in a coat and tie Give my feet a pair of shoes That I haven't worn in a long time Put me in a golden box Not a cross on a pile of rocks Bury me where the grass is green And the gates are shining..." The quoted text above is the chorus to the lyrics from a song entitled " Poor Man's Grave " by a band called the Eraserheads. The melody to this song is so good that I can't help but sing along; however, if I would have to look deeper, it would cause me to think "is it really necessary to have a grand funeral"? I believe it wouldn't matter anymore when we're dead. However, the fact remains that it is important for most families to bury their dead with a decent funeral. It's like a form of last respect for a dead loved one. Personally, I came from a family who didn't have the benefit of a good insurance. I remember when one would get sick, we can't expect dad's insurance

a thought on insurance

We've always known the importance of securing our family's future, especially on the aspect of health and wellness. This is why we never run out of vitamins and supplements at home. Health is even more important to us now that our work at home job does not have the benefit of a health insurance even though it pays better and that we have the luxury of doing both our jobs in the comfort of our home. Yes, when we were once employed outside our home, we had that health benefit and Dipdip was even included in the coverage. Now that we are no longer connected to that company, we no longer have that kind of insurance and it's like everyday we are all wishing and praying we will always be in the best of health. Now, we're saving up for a health insurance. I know that we can scout for a lot of insurance providers here in our country, though. Husband has an insurance that he's been paying since he was still single but it's a retirement insurance, somewhat likened to a p
