Chasing Happiness, Are We?

Image
I feel like making another blog update today because I bumped into a happiness quote being shared on Facebook. This is a good thing about social networks, you get inspired by the positive things that are being spread around. Photo: Not Mine Indeed, happiness in this walk through life is hard to achieve and this is due to the fact that most of us are bound to seek it only for ourselves. We tend to look for it for our own benefit. However, if we start wanting this happiness to be felt by the people around us and actually doing something about it, this feeling will simply resonate with us. Let's not also forget that it is not through material or financial things that can give permanent/ultimate happiness. It is the peace within ourselves that can bring about that feeling. No one else can make us feel that way but God in His goodness and grace. A blessed Sunday to all of us.

Care for some Valentine's Day Gifts?

Image
Love day is coming up! Yes, it's definitely one special time to celebrate this great feeling that we have for our loved ones. In my opinion, even though we can show and express our love everyday, it takes one very special day like Valentine's Day to let the person we hold close to our hearts feel even more special. Yes, I am not talking about lavish Valentine's Day Gifts really, but if you can afford it, why not? Still, I do not believe that the value of the gift will be the best and true measure of one's great love. Agree or disagree? Oftentimes, we hear of people getting everything they want from their partner but they still can't really be certain of their partner's faithfulness to them. However, it would be twice or thrice the happiness if you can get the best of both worlds. Come to think of it, Valentine's Day is not just for a man courting a woman, or for a husband wooing his wife. This is for everybody--love for a child to his parents and vice vers

there is joy in living

How do we find joy in living? We all know that money cannot really buy true happiness. Happiness, for me, is something that keeps us from wanting and longing for so much more in this life; that we are already content with what we have achieved. We may have failed in other things but we have learned to accept that we are not perfect. That we are capable of making a terrible mistake but we are able to forgive ourselves for it; that we can excel at some things but can also be weak in other things. That sense of self-fulfillment. We are lucky if we have already reached this stage. No longer will we care about the latest gadgets that are available in the market. No longer will we care about holding a luxurious party for our birthdays or other occasions. No longer will we worry about what others think about us. No longer will we think about elevating our status just to earn everybody's respect. You see, life is more than just money. Life is all about relationships. Most affluent peop

Don Moen's REVIVAL Concert

Image
Last april 11th, we had the chance to listen to Don Moen's songs live at the U.S.P. Open Grounds in Lahug, Cebu City. It was really a good experience. I can't fully describe how I felt that night but I've been crying for almost the whole run of the concert. Tears of happiness would be a good guess. I felt so happy that I'm sharing this experience with my husband, that we both agreed to buy tickets to the show. Well, I really would have wanted to watch in the front row but I have compromised to buy the general admission tickets since this is more or less out of our budget. Anyways, front row or not, we still felt God's presence that night. I felt so happy and blessed that me and my husband are one in rejoicing and praising God.
