brownouts or no brownouts

Lately, we've been experiencing power outages. Sometimes, it just gets so irritating when you have some unfinished work to do and some deadlines to meet. But then again, I don't want to allow my frustration to rule over me.

In life, there are power outages that we call trials. We hope to be able to face them without fear or frustration. God knows all our needs. He knows what's in our hearts, and all our desires.

Therefore, brownouts or no brownouts, I welcome them with love. As my favorite author, Og Mandino, had written - "I will greet this day with love in my heart!"

Thank you Lord for all the brownouts so that we may appreciate light! Thank you Oh God for never leaving us...

  1. You know, I remember experiencing those when we'd vacation over in the Philippines as a kid. Sometimes they didn't last long, and all my relatives had flashlights and candles at the ready. My older cousins also found that it was the best time to tell GHOST stories!!!

How long do your power outages last, by the way? I hope not too long. It's an inconvenience, I'm sure, but at least the power eventually comes back on! ;)

  2. What a great reminder for us all!

We're having a bad storm as I write this so a power outage could be in store for us tonight, too.

Thanks so much for the nice anniversary comment. How tall did DipDip come out?

  5. Brownouts could have been avoided if our officials were not sleeping on their jobs. Planning for power projections and consumptions should be at least 10 years ahead. But energy czar Angelo Reyes was busy lawyering for the oil companies especially the big 3 to bother himself with that. Shame on our officials from PGMA to the lowest cabinet member for their gross incompetence. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
